Tracey
Experienced care leader with 20+ years driving person-centred, relational practice; championing child voice, staff development, and warm, safe, empowering homes.
Read moreTracey brings over two decades of leadership experience within the care sector, having served as both a Registered Manager and a Responsible Individual. Her practice is grounded in a strong commitment to person centred, nurturing, and relational care, ensuring that every child within the service experiences safety, dignity, and genuine belonging.
Her professional values are deeply informed by personal experience. Growing up with a brother who had complex needs, Tracey witnessed first-hand the profound difference that high quality care—and poor quality care—can make to a child and their family. This has shaped her unwavering expectation that homes must never become institutional in culture or practice. She champions environments that are warm, supportive, homely, and emotionally attuned, where children feel genuinely “at home”.
A core part of Tracey’s approach is ensuring that children have meaningful choice and control in their daily lives. This includes decisions about their bedroom, colour schemes, décor, and the overall feel of the home. She ensures that every child’s voice is not only heard but actively influences decisions about their care and their environment.
Tracey is equally passionate about compliance, quality assurance, and workforce development. She maintains rigorous oversight of staff training, ensuring that all mandatory requirements are met and that specialist or bespoke training is provided to meet each child’s individual needs and outcomes. She views supervision and appraisal as purposeful, reflective conversations—not administrative tasks—where staff and managers are listened to, supported, and understood.Tracey’s leadership is characterised by high standards, relational practice, and a steadfast commitment to creating homes where children feel safe, valued, and empowered.
